Rebuilding Trust: Master class

On 25th February at 16:00 PM, we will be honored to receive Paolo Gentiloni, an Italian politician serving as European Commissioner for Economy and an ex-Prime Minister of Italy. This will happen on the occasion of the official inauguration of the academic year 2020-2021 of the Master of Journalism and digital communication, as well as for the research center Luiss Data Lab, at the Luiss Guido Carli University. The virtual event is called Rebuilding Trust, a unique opportunity spread to raise awareness about the phenomenon of disinformation and the role of the state in relationship with citizens, in the context of the current pandemic. The opening remarks will be presented by Vincenzo Boccia, Current President of Luiss Guido Carli University. After that, our special guest Paolo Gentiloni along with Gianni Riotta, the director of the School of Journalism and its scientific partner Data Lab, will start the master class, with an open debate on streaming. Also for Rebuilding Trust, the Luiss School of Journalism will host an expert round table with Luiss academics and other special guests among them Vittoria Colizza, Research Director EPIcx; Costanza Sciubba Caniglia, Special Editor Commentaries Harvard Kennedy School (HKS) Misinformation Review, Shorenstein Center on Media, Politics and Public Policy; Paola Antonelli, MoMa Senior Curator, Department of Architecture and Design; Diego Piacentini, Government Commissioner for the Digital Agenda, ex Vice President for Apple Europe, ex Senior Vice President of the International Consumer Business Amazon, Founder Digital Transformation Team; Giuseppe Tornatore, Director, Actor, Screenwriter. This initiative is organized by the Luiss School of Journalism and the research center  Luiss Data Lab in partnership with the European Commission.
