Alec Ross

Alec Ross is an American technology policy expert, entrepreneur and author: he served as Senior Advisor for Innovation for Hilary Clinton during her tenure as Secretary of State and as Coordinator for the Technology & Media Policy Committee during Barack Obama's presidential campaign in 2008.

After leaving the State Department, he became a Visiting Professor at King's College London and a Distinguished Senior Fellow at Columbia University in 2013. Alec Ross has received several awards and honours including the U.S. Department of State Distinguished Honor Award, the Oxford University Internet & Society Award and his book "The Industries of the Future" was named Book of the Year at the TriBeCa Film Festival and has been translated into twenty-four languages and was also named among the 100 "Global Thinkers" by Foreign Policy magazine.

He is a board member of Amplo, a global venture capital firm, and sits on other boards of companies specializing in technology, finance, education, human resources and cyber security.
