Jeremy Caplan è Director of Education per il Tow-Knight Center for Entrepreneurial Journalism presso la Newmark Graduate School of Journalism di CUNY. Già Ford Fellow in Entrepreneurial Journalism al Poynter Institute, è stato Wiegers Fellow della Columbia Business School, dove ha completato un MBA e un Knight-Bagehot Fellow alla Columbia Journalism School, dove ha conseguito un M.S. in giornalismo.
